Chipotle’s ‘Burrito A Friend’ campaign invited its mobile subscribers to choose a “Burrito bestie,” this enabled them to create a customized digital card for the friend, and share it through their native messaging app. The experience was built in jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3. This was a mobile only experience and worked across all mobile devices, expect for Windows phones. Desktop users were redirected to a mobile trigger page where they could enter their mobile number to receive a text to the experience.

Chipotle wanted to create a fun preference center for users with the goal of expanding their mobile database and handing out mobile wallet offers to increase in-store sales.
